Professionalism
Abraham M. Benson is co-founder, and now sole owner of Benson Associates, a CPA a firm specializing in Business and Individual taxes, IRS tax resolution cases, and small business consulting. In addition to being a CPA, Mr. Benson is also an Enrolled Agent which means “he has been granted unrestricted rights to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service”
Abraham is a graduate of the University of Detroit and Wayne State University where he earned graduate and undergraduate degrees and Accounting and Economics. Abraham sat for and passed the CPA examination in 1989 and received his CPA certification from the State of Michigan after a successful carrier at the Big Eight accounting firm of Coopers Price Waterhouse, formerly known as Coopers & Lybrand.
In addition to accounting, Mr. Benson has been an advisor to several small and medium size business in the Detroit area, advising on small business loans, taxes feasibility studies, IRS audits, and business plans. He has also been an accounting instructor at several community colleges in the Detroit area.
The firm’s primary is IRS tax debt resolution services such as installment agreements, Offer in Compromise, preparation of unfiled tax returns, tax penalty abatement, wage garnishment, payroll tax issues, and IRS tax liens and levies. Mr. Benson has satisfied clients in more than twenty states including, Michigan, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania etc.
